Description

Rhus integrifolia or lemonade berry. This is a big shrub for very rich dark green leaves with red stems. Very dense and is often used as a hedge. It’s also excellent for erosion control. The flowers turn to berries in early summer had produce a sugary lemonade coating that if placed in water can give it a lemonade flavor. Tend to live in more coastal southern California but some can be found a bit inland too.
