Description

Rhus ovata or sugar bush. This is a big shrub for very rich dark green leaves with red stems. Very dense and is often used as a hedge. It’s also excellent for erosion control. The flowers turn to dark red berries. They live in  southern California and tend to be more inland but you can find them also near the coast.
