Description

Baccharis pilularis consanguinea or coyote bush. This grows grows all over California more along the coast to a bit inland. Very fast growing and generally used for erosion control but you can trim/hedge it as shown in the picture we took at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden some years ago. It’s also supposed to be and I think correctly so, fire resistant.
