Sphaeralcea ambigua- desert mallow. These are from our California deserts and the deserts of the southwest. These have intense orange flowers in spring but cut them back about 1/3rd +/- , water 1x/week in summer and they will regrow and flower again. Excellent cut flowers and good for the pollinators. Plant any time of the year in a sunny spot.
