Description

Asclepias speciosa or showy milkweed. In nature they grow from Monterey County up the coast, east of the Sierras, and into the great plains states. Showy fragrant flowers (usually takes a couple of years to get the flowers) on tall plants 4′ +. Spreading by runners. They will die back to the ground in winter to come up again in early spring. Plant in sunny spots to part shade.
