Trichostema lanatum ‘Midnight Magic’ is a hybrid Trichostema that is easy to grow. Our native in our area Trichostema lanatum can look very dried out by mid-summer through winter and can’t tolerate summer water (maybe 1x/month max). This one easy in most native garden situations and 1x/water in summer they’ll look nice and green and have flowers.
It’s a cross between our own Trichostema and one from Mexico that was hybridized by Suncrest Nursery.
