Mimulus rutilus or Semi Valley red monkey flower grows primarily in Semi Valley  with a small patch reported in Filmore. It has bright red flowers and really need well drained soil. It’s a favorite of both hummingbirds and bees. The red flowers really stand out. This is a rare one and a real garden prize.
