Iris ‘Canyon Banner’ is one of our hybrid pacific coast irises. It’s a cross between Iris ‘Canyon Snow’ and Iris ‘Valley Banner’.  For coast garden grow in part shade and the more inland the more shade. Tends to be early flowering and a bit taller then many other pacific coast irises about 15″ +/-. For new planting – plant in well drained soil if possible on a little mound so the water drains away from the center. Water 1x/ week until about mid-May then drop to 1x/month. They don’t like summer watering. After the first year rain should be sufficient and in dry years water 1x/ month.
