Carex senta- rough sedge- very bright green leaves smallish about H 1-1/2, x W 1-1/2, – 2′. Evergreen. Typically you’d find it through out the state along stream banks. Locally you’d find it along the stream banks near Ojai. Easy to grow and you can plant it out along a dry stem in a garden to give it a cooler feeling. Occasional watering is recommended especially in warm inland areas.
