Penstemon psudospectabilis – desert beardtongue- Lives in our deserts in San Bernardino and Riverside and AZ, NM, Ut. too.  Plant in full sun in sandy rocky soils. While drought tolerant it can also handle a monthly watering in summer and that will extend the bloom time. Magenta tube flowers are excellent for drawing and feeding hummingbirds.
